Its the season to be searching for new jobs. A lot of my frds are busy hunting for new opputunities..several have switched , several are hunting. Makes me wonder if its time to move on from what i m doing myself. Question arises, where to from here?
Think I am enjoying what i am doing right now, dont know how much overall career sense and growth i would have made was i else where but at least i am having fun with what i am doing. Hindsight is 20-20 of course so I would never be able to figure out what i am doing unless it is with retrospect. :)
Got 2 diff points of view on salary recently. a frd went on and on about how we were under paid, over-worked and hardly have any savings whatsoever to talk about despite leading an extremely sedate lifestyle.
then met a friendly cab driver who was sharing his experiences whilst in the midst of traffic,asked me how i liked my job and i was like its gud other then the compensation. he said, kyu, aapko 10K toh milta hoga,
kinda brought things in perspective, all our needs and wants just grow as we move from one income class to another...dont think there is ever a satisfactory salary point..all we do is create more needs and requirements due to which we dont ever seem to have enough...guess , working to make ur current job a happy job to be at is a million times better than hunting for that one elusive job that would be perfect in every way..,especially when u already like several things about it already.......
